Bangalore Next On India's Metro List

The Central government sanctions budget allocation for constructing a mostly underground mass transit rail system for Bangalore, India.
The Indian Central government has given the green light to build a 33-kilometer metro rail system for Bangalore in the next five years for the estimated cost of $1.45 billion. Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh personaly presided over the cabinet meeting regarding infrastructure development wherein the decision was made.
