Richard Markosian has been studying urban development and street culture through interviews, observation and travel. Richard has completed several short films related to urban planning and development including "The Death of Main Street Salt Lake City", "Munich- A Smart Growth Marvel" as well as Gentrification in Salt Lake City's famous Sugar House area. Richard studied Film Making and Journalism at the University of Utah but currently earns his living as a web developer owning his own company since 2001: Markosian Media. Richard now has a weekly segment appearing on local television in Salt Lake City-airing short stories (often related to urban issues and growth). Richard's goal is to turn UtahStories.com into a full Citizen Journalist website for other local aspiring journalists, existing journalists and film makers to publish their stories, observations and films.
