Most Santa Fe County residents testifying at a hearing on growth policies said the county needs to make sure all its water is lined up before approving any more plans. "You brought this problem on yourselves because you can't explain where your water comes from," said Tom Aageson, who lives on south N.M. 14, which has seen a lot of growth. "It's like a Texas oilman, and someone tells him there's oil under the ground so he goes and opens a chain of gas stations. Then he looks underground for the oil."
