APPLY TODAY! 2015 National Award for Smart Growth Achievement
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is seeking applications for the 2015 National Award for Smart Growth Achievement. The competition is open to public-sector, private-sector, and nonprofit entities that have used smart growth principles to improve communities environmentally, socially, and economically. EPA seeks to recognize urban, suburban, and rural communities employing innovative smart growth approaches that involve a broad variety of stakeholders and could be replicated.
Categories: Review panel will choose one winner from four categories, and an Overall Excellence winner:
- Built Projects
- Corridor or Neighborhood Revitalization
- Plazas, Parks, and Public Places
- Policies, Programs, and Plans
Eligibility: Applications can be submitted by public-sector, private-sector, and nonprofit entities, all applications must be co-signed by a public-sector partner
- Application Deadline: 5 p.m. EST -- Friday, September 5, 2014
