Moscow Finds New Urbanism

"The plan is to make the area around the Kremlin and Kitai-Gorod more attractive to tourists by adding green areas, seating, fountains and lighting of significant buildings. The Golden Circle includes Red Square, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and Teatralnaya, Manezhnaya and Lyubanka squares. Underground walkways and footbridges across the Moscow River will allow pedestrians to move easily within the city center from one attraction to the next. Other tourist-friendly initiatives include information booths and sites from which good photographs can be snapped."
