The state of Americas housing depends to a great extent on where one hangs ones hat, how much it costs to hang it there, or whether there is a place to hang it at all. Those who own a home, as more than 67 percent of Americas families do, may have reason to grumble about the increasing housing prices that prevent an easy upgrade, but they would agree that basically things are okay.
