A new suite of tools to help you design, plan, and manage your plot is looking for investors on Kickstarter.
Agrisaurus is a suite of digital tools to help food gardeners plan and manage a successful garden. The design tools focus on polyculture gardening for small beds, while the calendar tools assist with climate-informed planning and management of successive planting schedules.
Why are the project creators making this app? In their own words:
We think small-scale farming is the future. Agrisaurus will make it easier to learn how to garden and also easier to design, plan, and manage your plot throughout the seasons.
We believe a new era awaits where small farms thrive in every nook and cranny of a city, made more productive by a combination of ancient best practices and all the benefits of the information era. We believe that Agrisaurus can help us create a more crowdsourced food supply, grown yard by yard and rooftop by rooftop.
The project is currently raising funds on Kickstarter and aiming for launch in time for the spring planting season next year. One of the rewards on offer is participation in their closed beta test over this winter.
