Mitigating Environmental Impacts: Law, Policy, and Practice (1 Day)

This seminar covers legal requirements, the latest CEQA Guidelines, recent court cases on mitigation measures, and a hands-on workshop on developing effective mitigation measures. The seminar's objective is to provide you with practical up-to-date knowledge and tools needed to successfully prepare or critique mitigation measures and monitoring programs in CEQA and NEPA environmental documents. Compliance with the federal and California Endangered Species Acts, and state and federal wetlands regulations, is also discussed.

Credit Available: All seminars are approved for 6 hours of AICP(CM) or MCLE credit. All full-length courses offer 36 hours of CM credit for AICP certified planners. All seminars count as elective credit toward the completion of UCLA Extension's Global Sustainability Certificate. The fee for each seminar includes course materials. The cost of full-length course materials varies.
