"For years, some longtime residents have lamented over the intrusion of huge homes and town houses built shoulder to shoulder with little or no space between them." Now planners are proposing a reduction in housing sizes are in an effort to preserve the community's character. Critics of the "community character" bandwagon say it is an unrealistic goal that simply favors one housing style over another.
