Gary Hustwit is the director of the documentary Helvetica, which explored the proliferation of the typeface Helvetica as part of a larger conversation about the way type affects our lives. His latest, Urbanized, looks at design at the urban level, and includes interviews with Amanda Burden, Ellen Dunham-Jones, Jan Gehl, Rem Koolhaas, and other big names in planning and architecture.
