'We cut ourselves off from trying to design it on the spot -- but there's a sense that this time the city has a chance to do it right.' One possible model is Rockefeller Center, says Brian Shea of Cooper Robertson & Partners. According to Shea, that vast complex built in the 1930s shows how a multiblock project can connect to the neighborhood around it while capturing the spirit of the city as a whole."
