Rutgers University Bloustein Online Continuing Education Program
Cost-effective Deep Learning courses through the Bloustein Online Continuing Education Program are designed for smart, busy professionals with limited training budgets. We provide you with high-quality, practical courses designed and led by expert practitioners. Our courses are interactive and international, so you can share ideas and ask questions of a wide variety of practitioners.
From April 27 to June 4, BOCEP offers these Deep Learning courses:
Cultural Community Development Studio. How can the arts best promote community development? What are the best strategies for your community? This course can help you answer both questions, and more. Working under the guidance of a community and economic development expert, you can outline an arts-based community development strategy for a community of your choice.
Economic Development Analysis. Learners will get fundamental knowledge of the most important concepts and widely-used tools in economic development. Learners will explore such topics as location quotients, shift share analysis, and economic specialization.
Law and Sustainability Studio. This course is suited to anyone who works in environmental planning, land use law, or sustainability. Using a case study approach, learners will build a better understanding of the various legal frameworks at the international, national, and local levels necessary to accomplish sustainability in the law.
Long Range Planning. Learners in this course will explore a wide variety of tools for developing projections and forecasts, and using them in long-term plans. Topics covered include: buildout analysis, cumulative impact assessment, benchmarking (including using the new LEED-ND standards), agent-based analysis and scenario analysis.
Urban Design Studio. Learners in this course will get hands-on experience in urban design by working on a plan for a client community. Anyone with a basic knowledge of urban design concepts is welcome to participate in this course.
There's an additional benefit if you register by April 15: You will get one hour of career coaching and a complimentary review of your resume free.
For those seeking a Bloustein Professional Certificate, there is an additional $50 fee per course.
