"Faced with opposition from residents and the St. Johns River Water Management District, Clay County commissioners are backing away from a plan to someday build a highway through the Black Creek Ravines Conservation Area... The decision on a highway route is just one of many that will have long-range consequences on the environment and lifestyle of areas located in the Branan Field-Chaffee Road and Lake Asbury areas of Clay County."
