The city takes control of a proposed development for $12 million after Disney fails to come up with a suitable alternative.

"Mayor Street pulled the plug on the $167 million high-tech entertainment center last spring, but had given the developers a series of 30-day extensions to put together a replacement project. The city's commerce director, James J. Cuorato, said yesterday it was apparent that those efforts had failed."
