"Alaska's controversial development issues have won the state's national parks a place at the top of the National Park Conservation Association's list of Ten Most Endangered Parks.The state's 55 million acres of parkland, comprising nearly two-thirds of the total national park land in the United States, face threats from pro-development supporters in Congress and an administration that supports opening parts of the land for development, railroad, and snowmobile use..."
