Under general direction from the Planning Manager or Associate Planner, assists in the performance of assignments related to current and long-range planning. Duties include but are not limited to: assists in the development of long & short range programs, reports & studies; gathers, interprets and organizes data; provides technical advice & information on land use applications, ordinances, codes, plans, & related planning programs, & other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree in urban/land use planning, public administration, urban design or closely related field & one year of responsible professional planning experience. Possession of or ability to obtain a valid CA driver's license & a satisfactory driving record are required at the time of appointment & as a condition of continuing employment. Apply by 7/27/07.
