Successful downtowns and business districts establish momentum for change while blending community ideals with economic forces. California Downtown Association (CDA) requests proposals for educational sessions that showcase strategies and innovative solutions to business district challenges. Sessions should incorporate effective methods for operating successful programs that energize a district or organization. Motivational sessions geared toward stimulating creative thinking and leadership development are encouraged to help inspire those who foster the way for downtown success.

About CDA

CDA is a statewide organization representing thousands of diversified businesses throughout California within its network of downtown associations, cities, chambers of commerce, commercial business districts and industry-related vendors and consultants. Our mission is to be the primary educational resource and network for downtown and business district professionals.


Our Audience

The Annual CDA Conference focuses on attracting professionals involved in various commercial revitalization projects. Participation is comprised of executive directors, staff and board members of business district management organizations, public officials, economic development professionals, city staff, architects, planners and other consultants.

How to Submit a Proposal


Presentation proposal forms can be downloaded at www.californiadowntown.com. Submit the completed form, along with requested attachments, no later than Friday, May 11, 2007. Notification of speaker selection will be made no later than Friday, June 15, 2007.
