"Though it is still too early to declare last year's census the most accurate ever, the Census Bureau's acting director on Wednesday said the 2000 count showed a major improvement over 1990 in counting minorities.But William Barron told lawmakers his agency needed to analyze more data before deciding whether adjusting the final numbers would make them even more precise."
