This year's New Partners for Smart Growth conference is coming to Miami Beach Florida, January 27-29, 2005.

This is the premier conference for local government representatives, developers, public health advocates, transportation engineers, planners and many others who are implementing
smart growth. The tours, workshops, plenary sessions and networking activities all focus on tools, policies, and techniques for building livable, healthy communities.

New features this year include a "smart
growth stand" and a special salon session to address issues related to planning details, policy options and other implementation questions.

There are also many opportunities for informal consultation and networking with the best practitioners from around the country. Tours this year include preservation efforts in the Art Deco District, as well as walking and bus tours of new towns in South Florida.
