Call for Pilot Courses

Planetizen

Later this year Planetizen will be launching a new feature to enable organizations and individuals to deliver free and fee-based online courses relating to planning and development. This new feature will be called Planetizen Courses.

We are searching for organizations or individuals to test the system by setting up an existing course in the Planetizen Courses software system. These pilot online courses will become available to Planetizen users when Planetizen Courses is launched.

In exchange for being a pilot course, Planetizen will host these courses at no charge for one year from the time Planetizen Courses is launched. It is likely that these pilot courses will attract a high degree of interest from Planetizen's 15,000 daily visitors.

Features of Planetizen Courses include:

  • Access to Planetizen's readers
  • Discussion forums
  • Online graded quizzes, tests and surveys
  • Document libraries
  • Courses can be organized around weeks or topics
  • Grading and student activity reports
  • Student journals (public or private)
  • Students can upload assignments
  • Calendaring
  • Student profiles
  • Chat module allows instructor and students to interact
  • Instructor can control all aspects of the course
  • Instructor can determine who has access to the course
