Request for Qualifications -- Land Use Site Planning Study
City of Phoenix -- Community and Economic Development Department
The City of Phoenix is seeking professional consultant services to assist in the preparation of a land use site planning study for an approximately 13-acre City-owned property located in Downtown Phoenix. The site contains three historic buildings along its southern border that will be retained. The property is envisioned to host an urban medical research/education campus facility. The design will also anticipate the larger area contextual future development opportunities for additional bioscience firms and other uses compatible with medical research facilities and the historic buildings within the site. A land use site plan is a document that provides a set of urban design guidelines, while addressing the broader master planning issues such as land use and urban redevelopment.
A statement of interest and qualifications for these services is invited from firms with a background and experience in medical research facilities (particularly with the potential for a bioscience facilities cluster), urban design, master planning, public facilitation and related fields. Prospective consultants should offer a full range of technical services to be performed by key staff, experienced in medical/research/bio-science campuses and urban design projects, as well as support staff capable of a complete range of production services. Prospective applicants should note that the City of Phoenix remains committed to equal opportunity in contracting and employment.
Prior to submitting qualifications, firms must obtain a complete RFQ packet. For further information, please contact Jason Harris, Project Manager at (602) 262-5040. First review of Submittal of Qualifications (SOQ) will take place on or after June 7, 2002. RFQ packets may be obtained beginning May 17, 2002 from:
