Residents are working with the City to find traffic solutions for their community.
"As more restaurants, businesses and apartments move into South Tampa, traffic problems are increasing. Three neighborhoods near Morrison Avenue already are coping with speeding problems. And residents worry conditions will grow worse as new construction continues. Some residents fear major traffic hassles when a 368-unit apartment complex, Madison at Soho, opens late this year. The Zom Development project is under construction a block west of Howard Avenue, between Azeele and DeLeon streets. Residents are expected to begin moving in later this year. The city has hired consultants Tindale-Oliver & Associates, of Tampa and Simon Resources Inc., to lead an effort to develop a traffic- management plan for the neighborhoods of New Suburb Beautiful, Parkland Estates and Palma Ceia."
