A Fake San Francisco
The plan for a 70,000-square foot San Francisco Interactive History Museum is being derided as a"kitschy Las Vegas-style tourist trap." The museumplans to have fake fog and a mini-Golden Gate Bridge. The proposed site is at Fisherman's Wharf. "It's Disney. It's Vegas. And it's particularly galling to have this thing being built on the bay -- the thing that makes the city so incredible," said Aaron Peskin, president of the Telegraph Hill Dwellers, a neighborhood association.
