The Denver Post interview Peter Park, Denvers community planning and development director.
Though raised in Pierre, S.D., Park is a confirmed urbanist... He studied architecture at Arizona State, moving to Milwaukee to earn master's degrees in architecture and in planning at the University of Wisconsin. He taught before and during his tenure as Milwaukee's planning director, where he worked with Mayor John Norquist."
" 'If we don't untangle the regulatory knot, we'll never get to the conversation about the role of good planning and excellent design in capturing the community's vision. Right now, Blueprint Denver's vision of integrated land use and transportation doesn't translate to the regulatory process,'" says Park.
The Denver Post has also published the complete transcript of the interview with Park.
