Students and faculty of Ewha Womans' University in Seoul protest the designation of a 'beauty zone' in their vicinity.

In Seoul, South Korea, ward officials "recently designated the commercial sprawl near Ewha Womans' University a 'special beauty zone,' hoping to capitalize on the area's popularity among fashion-conscious female college students....Students and faculty filed a petition with the National Human Rights Commission last week, claiming the special beauty zone designation perpetuated sexual prejudice against the school's students and violated their right to an environment conducive to education."
