"Not much unites three ongoing battles in Pickering, Oakville and King Township except that all are politically messy (i.e. real, unlike the lighter-than-air vapours of "smart growth") and, this being a double-election season, volatile to the point of bitterness. But together their outcomes could help shape the entire region."
