Here's a new one: instead of building a bigger convention center, the city of Arlington is converting its convention center into a sports arena. Oh yeah, this sports arena is for video games.

"The City of Arlington announced plans Wednesday morning for a 100,000 square-foot, "state of the art" arena dedicated to competitive video games," reports Britton Peele. "The new space will be called Esports Stadium Arlington, and the city says that it will be the largest eSports stadium in the country."

"Esports Stadium Arlington will be a $10 million transformation of the Arlington Convention Center," adds Peele. "The stadium is a collaboration with the City of Arlington, Esports Venues and architecture firm Populous."
