- General Purpose
This position, under the general supervision of the Deputy City Manager, provides project management for the city’s redevelopment initiatives and areas. The incumbent will work closely with planning and Economic Development on special district redevelopment projects, redevelopment incentives, neighborhood redevelopment along with housing and affordable housing programs including horizontal and vertical construction projects.
The hiring range for this position is $72,005 - $90,006 annually.

The City of Commerce City has adopted a hybrid work environment that includes remote (telework) and in-person duties. The flexibility in the assigned work schedule is subject to change based on the needs of the specific department and organization.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Real Estate, or related field; supplemented by five or more years of experience managing multiple projects and duties, professional project management, redevelopment, or community development services. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. A Master’s Degree in the aforementioned fields with a minimum of three years is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of economic development principles and practices
- Extensive knowledge of planning principles and practices, including development review
- Knowledge of regional economic development issues and initiatives
- Strong knowledge of the City business environment and existing businesses
