Jacksonville Seeks To Expand Skyway Rapid Transit System

Jacksonville weighs options whether expanded avenue would make a good corridor to run its underperforming Rapid Transit System.
"In 2000, City Hall approved a downtown master plan that recommended expansion of the Skyway in downtown "as development and travel demand dictate." The master plan cited Riverside Avenue as a Skyway leg if "rapid development" were to occur in the Brooklyn neighborhood, which is bordered by Riverside Avenue."
