A volunteer organization called The Mission Continues connects veterans with volunteer work around the country. The healing power of their efforts goes both ways.

"They served their country through the military and now these veterans are traveling across the U.S. to provide service to local communities," according to an article by Ingrid Kelley.
The work of this volunteer group of veterans is organized by a grown called The Mission Continues. Their visit to Detroit, called the Motown Muster, recently made news for its attention to a local high school and its work to lesson the effect of blight in the neighborhood of Brightmoor.
Corey Williams also reported on the efforts of The Mission Continues volunteers in Detroit for the Associated Press.
