Portland Transit: Case Study In Success

Tri-Met's general manager opines on why Portland's transit system has been so successful.
"The Portland metropolitan area is nationally recognized for its successful transit system. All of our MAX light-rail lines were built on time and on budget, and they continue to attract riders. In a 10-year period, Tri-Met ridership grew twice as fast as our population growth and about 25 percent faster than car use."
