Ten Cities With The Worst Commute

Which residents have the worst commutes in the nation? New York, Chicago and San Francisco. The Census Bureau publishes the list of cities with the longest commutes.
"Still, the worst commute in the nation, the Census Bureau said, is New York City. Despite the most extensive transit system in the world, New Yorkers average a 39-minute trip to work. That means commuters in New York spend about three entire days more traveling to work each year than those in second-place Chicago -- with an average commute of 33 minutes and 6 seconds -- and nearly five days more than those who work in San Francisco, the Census Bureau said."
