Panel recommends giving part of gasoline tax to urban transit systems in Canadian cities. "
"A five-member panel says part of the gasoline tax should be given to cash-strapped urban transit systems in cities across Canada. The recommendation is just one of 90 that have come after a year-long review of Canada's Transportation Act. The wide-ranging report was issued Wednesday by Transport Minister David Collenette. "
