Experts discuss urban runoff pollution at a University of Connecticut land use seminar.
"jim Gibbons is land use educator for the Non-Point Education for Municipal Officials (NEMO) organization based at University of Connecticut. 'Urban run-off is the number one source of pollution in coastal areas,' Gibbons told the crowd attending the 'Livable Communities: Balancing Growth and Environmental Protection in Sussex County' seminar. He urged those in attendance to look toward natural resources-based planning as a way of maintaining and improving watershed health."
