Extending Charleston's Urban Corridor

Charleston, South Carolina's signature street, King Street, is undergoing a major revitalization in an attempt to provide continuity to the urbanity and pedestrian friendliness of Lower King northward.
"Roughly $400 million in private investment has been proposed along the Upper King and Meeting streets corridor, pushing upscale hotels, condos, offices and retail shops farther uptown than ever before."
"Many of the development plans that have been announced are massive, mixed-use projects where residential and commercial spaces will occupy the same buildings."
"It's a development formula, supported by city officials, that's aimed at creating lively urban streets full of people."
