No Water Treatment Facility In My Backyard

The proposed $70 million facility in Henderson is under fire from nearby residents.
"Henderson officials insist the new $70 million water treatment facility they plan to build on St. Rose Parkway south of the Las Vegas Beltway will conserve water and save the city money without affecting the surrounding neighborhood.
But the people who live next door in the large-lot Serene Country Estates neighborhood think all they will get out of it are foul odors and depressed property values."
