Applications for the 2020 Housing and Community Design Awards program are currently being accepted by the Residential Knowledge Community of The American Institute of Architects (AIA), in conjunction with the Office of the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These annual awards recognize excellence in affordable housing, community-based design, participatory design, and housing accessibility.

Award-winning designs will be publicized by HUD and featured in AIA’s online newspaper, AIA Architect. The winning designs will also be honored at the 2020 AIA National Convention in Los Angeles, California, from May 14–16.
