Economic developers can take on a leading role in improving their communities' workforce through industry-focused sector strategies that meet the human resources needs of the private sector while providing opportunity for workers. This strategy is increasingly being supported by national and state policy, including the recently passed Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.

Her role with the Chamber focuses on development, retention and attraction of a skilled and diverse workforce ensuring the success of business, community and the economy. She also manages the Chamber’s diversity business council; Mosaic.
