2015 Sustainable Design Assessment Team Program Application
The American Institute of Architects
By achieving balance between cultural, environmental, and economic systems, communities can sustain a place as a stage for human settlement. The SDAT program upholds the AIA Design Assistance team values of utilizing a multidisciplinary team approach; ensuring the objectivity of all participating team members; and requiring broad, inclusive public participation and support.
The final deadline to submit applications for consideration in the 2015 SDAT program is Friday, November 21, 2014. The SDAT Application Review Committee will convene twice to evaluate applications. The first evaluation will take place in early October; the Committee will review any applications received prior to October 10, 2014, and will accept those communities who meet the application standards at that time. The second review will occur in December 2014; the Committee will evaluate any applications not already reviewed and will accept additional applications into the 2015 cycle. Any applications received after the review period will be considered for the 2016 SDAT program.
To view the application packet, and to access past SDAT applications and other related resources, please visit the AIA Center for Communities by Design website at http://www.aia.org/about/initiatives/AIAS075425.
The Center will hold a teleconference for communities interested in learning more about the SDAT program and the application process in late September 2014. If you would like to join this call, please indicate your interest by sending an email to [email protected].
Questions about the program or the application process should be directed to Erin Simmons, Director, AIA Design Assistance, via email [email protected] or phone 202.626.7492.
