SJSU's Masters of Urban Planning and certificate programs accepting applications for the Spring 2014 semester!
Urban & Regional Planning Department, San Jose State University
SJSU's Masters of Urban Planning and certificate programs are accepting applications for the Spring 2014 semester until September 30!
Are you interested in making cities, towns, and regions more environmentally sustainable, economically vibrant, equitable, and beautiful places to live? Then consider beginning a Master of Urban Planning (MUP) degree or a certificate in urban planning in Spring 2014 at San Jose State University. The university is located in San Jose, CA, in the heart of Silicon Valley.
In addition to the MUP program, we offer graduate certificate programs in 4 areas:
- Applications of Technology in Planning
- Community Design and Development
- Real Estate Development
- Transportation and Land Use Planning
Benefits of studying at SJSU include the flexibility to complete the MUP degree or certificates either as a part-time or full-time student, affordable tuition, many opportunities to work directly with local communities as part of required and elective coursework, and research assistant positions with faculty. Alumni pursue careers with a wide variety of employers, from government agencies at all levels (local to national), to the nonprofit advocacy sector, to private consulting firms, to real estate development firms. As a testament to the success of the department’s students, our graduates won the national American Planning Association Student Planner Leadership award in both 2009 and 2010.
