IEDC is proud to present a silent auction at the 2012 Annual Conference in Houston, Texas. The Silent Auction will be held in Exhibit Hall B3 (Convention Center) and will support the Diane Lupke Scholarship Fund, which helps economic development professionals working in distressed communities continue their industry education.
IEDC needs your donations to make this year's silent auction a success! Your contribution is a great way to have fun at the Annual Conference and help give a deserving person the opportunity to take IEDC's professional development courses. The silent auction will take place in the exhibition hall beginning on Sunday, September 30th at 1:00 pm and will conclude in conjunction with the Ice Cream Social on Monday, October 1 at 3:15 pm.

INTERESTED IN APPLYING FOR AN IEDC EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP?
IEDC is proud to offer four scholarships to attend any IEDC professional development course of the recipient's choice. Applicants must work for an organization based in a distressed community. Two scholarships will be awarded to IEDC members and two to non-members.
Diane Lupke, CEcD, President of Lupke & Associates and a strong advocate for economic development initiatives within distressed communities, is the founder of this education scholarship fund. The scholarship recipient is able to enhance his or her knowledge in economic development through participation in IEDC professional development courses. Furthermore, each IEDC course meets the professional development requirement for the Certified Economic Developer program.
