Bill Roschen, head of the City's Planning Commission, will discuss the City's efforts, including the development of a Public Health Element for the General Plan Framework. Jean Armbruster, director of the County Public Health Department's PLACE program will speak about Project RENEW and the department's other initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes by adapting the physical environment. Susan Tae, Supervising Regional Planner with the Los Angeles County Department of Regional Planning, will focus on the County's Healthy Design Ordinance, passed earlier this year.
