IEDC's July webinar focuses on the role of economic developers in green building projects. Sustainability is a key theme in today's economy, and a growing number of organizations, both public and private, are taking the initiative to ensure their operations are environmentally conscious. Green building involves a host of technologies and strategies that improve the environmental footprint and health impacts of new and existing buildings.
The leading national standard for green building practices is The U.S. Green Building Council's LEED Certification System, which takes a holistic approach in assessing these impacts. Presenters will offer a brief overview of the LEED program and the current state of green building, as well as rising trends. They will also explore public financing mechanisms for green building and best practices in engaging community stakeholders on green building projects.
BY ATTENDING THIS WEBINAR, YOU WILL LEARN HOW TO:
• Finance green building projects in your community
• Resolve common obstacles confronting green building projects
• Facilitate demand in your community for green building
Space is limited! Register today.
