The U.S. Green Building Council Illinois Chapter is offering a LEED-ND training workshop on May 31 for planners and designers interested in LEED-ND rating system requirements and the certification process for green neighborhoods.

The workshop will be taught by LEED Faculty member Eliot Allen, AICP, LEED AP-ND, CNU-A, a principal with Criterion Planners of Portland Oregon. Eliot is a LEED-ND expert, having helped create the rating system, co-authored the Reference Guide, and supervised 150 neighborhood certifications nationally. He is also a member of USGBC's Location & Planning Technical Advisory Group, and a core committee member of ASLA's Sustainable Sites Initiative.
