LEED for Neighborhood Development Training in Washington DC

The U.S. Green Building Council is offering its LEED-ND 251 full-day workshop Understanding the LEED-ND Rating System on May 9 at USGBC headquarters in Washington DC. This workshop introduces the intent, key elements, and main requirements for a successful green neighborhood project. The course is designed for local and regional planners, land developers, and design professionals working on neighborhood-scale sustainability policies and projects. Registration begins at $245/person and is available at www.usgbc.org/ND251. The workshop will be taught by LEED faculty member Eliot Allen, AICP, a Principal at Criterion Planners of Portland Oregon, the nation's leading specialist in ND certification assistance (www.crit.com).
