The course is designed to prepare planners and practitioners in the public, nonprofit, and private sectors for work analyzing and developing sustainable development opportunities as well as fostering a strong jobs-producing base of a local jurisdiction's economy. Instruction develops planning, analytical, and management skills through an exploration of planning processes; analytical techniques; locality, business, and human resource development; and high-technology and sustainable economic development strategies.
