Western Planning Resources (WPR)


The Western Planner, established in 1979, is a planning journal published eight times a year, which serves as a network for providing information and education concerning the unique aspects of planning in the Great Plains and the West. The WP has a strong set of traditions and values that guide this commitment to a professional network.

Subscription rates are very affordable: Individual rate $40; Students $30; Canadian rate $50.

The Western Planner is produced by the by the non-profit organization Western Planning Resources (WPR). WPR is an affiliation of 14-western state planning associations. WPR holds an annual conference each year. This year's conference is being hosted by the Planning Association of Washington (PAW) and will be in Vancouver, Washington, August 10-13. The 2011 Western Planner Conference will be in Santa Fe, New Mexico, September 11-14, 2011.
