THE INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL'S 2009 ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Reno, NV ׀ October 4-7, 2009
Register by Monday, August 3 and save $100!
Does your community want to get noticed? Then you should plan to be in Reno, NV, October 4-7, for IEDC's 2009 Annual Conference. You could win a guest spot on the first ever "Dating Game: Competing for a Prospect's Attention in a Down Market," with a chance to win a one-day visit to your community by one of the leading site consultants in the country.
As communities compete to capture site consultants' attention for the few deals available in today's down market, IEDC is offering six lucky attendees at the 2009 Annual Conference the opportunity to bring their community to the direct attention of site consultants. The Dating Game, one of America's favorite classic television game shows, will make an appearance at this year's conference with an economic development twist.
In the bachelorette's seat will be a leading site consultant and in the three bachelor's seats will be communities. The first round of the show will feature contestants from communities with populations under 100,000, and the second round will feature communities with populations over 100,000. The winner of each round will get a one-day site visit "date" with the consultant, complete with airfare courtesy of Development Counsellors International (DCI).
For a chance to win a spot on the first ever "Dating Game: Competing for a Prospect's Attention in a Down Market" simply follow this link and fill out the questionnaire describing why your community should land a contestant's seat at the October conference. For your community to be considered, questionnaires must be completed by August 10th. http://vovici.com/wsb.dll/s/1313dg3eb64
The IEDC "Dating Game" session will take place Wednesday, October 7th from 9am-10:30am. The selected communities will be notified by September 1st.
BACK BY POPULAR REQUEST: SITE CONSULTANTS FORUM
Don't miss the Site Consultants Forum right after the Dating Game on October 7th, where attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn the ins and outs of site selection to ensure their communities are doing what they need to attract site consultants.
