"The government is cutting off irrigation water to hundreds of farmers in a basin along the Oregon-California border to help threatened and endangered fish survive a drought.The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation announced Friday that 90 percent of farmers drawing water from the Klamath Project would be left dry this year to maintain water for endangered sucker fish and sustain water flows for threatened coho salmon."
