Drawing for Design and Communication
National Charrette Institute
You've probably seen Seth's signature watercolor drawings in many New Urbanist plans.
Spend the day in Portland, Oregon with Seth and learn how he does it. You can complete your NCI certificate training and take Seth's course all in one week.
The course will consist of two parts, the first will look at the various mediums and techniques used for both plan and perspective drawing, and will present examples of various approaches that are effective and useful for most applications, taking into account speed, quality, resolution, and the intended context and audience. The second part will include a hands-on interactive process, by which the course participant will be walked through several different popular techniques and applications. This course looks at drawing in a charrette environment, as an integral part of the iterative "feedback loop process," which is the defining attribute of any public-participatory charrette process.
The course will take place at the end of the NCI training week, on Saturday October 25th in Portland. Visit this link for more information and to register: http://www.charretteinstitute.org
